Three Reasons That Will Help You Decide If It Is Time To Take Action

Your TimeWhat time is it?

What was the first thing that came to your mind having read the above question? I am going to guess and say the time of day. Am I correct? I can see you bowing your head. Thank you.

For some, it might not have been the time of day, but it may have to do with food – lunch time, dinner time, supper time for those who have supper or snack time. Some people are food oriented; food is always on their mind. Are you one of those?

So, what time is it?

It’s obvious by now that I am not talking about the time of day or what to eat. The time that I am referencing has to do with stage of life – the place we are in our lives. For me, its time to write another book, take my business to the next level, connect with some other smart people, experience more growth spiritually, educationally, socially and financially.

What about you? What time is it in your life? What is it that you need to do today that you weren’t doing yesterday that will take your life to the next level? What is it that you have been putting off? Do you see what time it is? Can you afford to delay any longer?

These questions are here to provoke you to think about where you are and to help you look around at the signs that are pointing to the you-need-to-do-something-soon. It’s time to take action. It’s time to do an evaluation.

Let’s take a page from the book of the 200 leaders of the tribe of Issachar. Here is what they understood:

From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take. (1 Chronicles 12:32 NLT)

They understood the signs of the time and knew what course of action to take. That is what I want for you and me.

So, what is the course of action that you need to take? What is step one, two, three …?

You need to take a course of action if you:

  1. Are not happy or fulfilled where you are
  2. Come alive when you are doing or talking about something you love to do
  3. Have had confirmation that you could or should be doing something else

Take a course of action today even if it is a baby step.

What would be one thing that would make it very difficult for you to take action today? Please take a minute and leave a comment in the box below.
